CryptoSumo brings the thrill of Web3 gaming directly into your favorite social platforms. As a mini-app widget, it lets users instantly enter a sumo match by staking tokens. Your stake determines your size—the bigger you are, the harder you hit.

Players battle in real-time by charging opponents, picking up surprise items, and shrinking with every attack to fuel the prize pool. No need to leave the social feed: the game runs smoothly in-widget, with only critical actions like staking or claiming rewards requiring on-chain interaction.

The experience is powered by session keys and secure backends, ensuring smooth gameplay with minimal wallet friction. Only one sumo will remain. Will it be you?

CryptoSumo was built using Sherry, a Web3 infrastructure protocol that enables interactive blockchain mini-apps to run directly within social platforms. The game extends Sherry’s core functionality by integrating support for HTML5 canvas, allowing real-time gameplay and smooth interactions inside a social feed.

To manage randomness in-game, especially for spawning power-up items like shields and mega-charges, Flow was integrated as a verifiable randomness source. This ensures fair, tamper-resistant generation of item drop moments throughout the match.

Finally, the mini-app is rendered using a newly deployed version of the Sherry Extension for X to support games on HTML5 format, enabling players to join, charge, and watch the match unfold directly within the social timeline without needing to switch apps or websites.
