This project comes with an ambitious goal to extent Cosmos hub
Long term project that I plan to build and develop during a few hackatons. This project comes with an ambitious goal to extend Cosmos hub, such that L2 (and also EVM compatible networks) will be able to integrate with Cosmos hub leveraging ZK Rollup. During this hackaton I mainly focused on tech research and system architecture planning.
General outline of the idea:
For the sake of simplicity let's address cosmos-hub as layer0. Thus the goal of the project is to build a layer 1 (or extend cosmos hub) that on the one hand is backwards compatible with native IBC protocol provided by Cosmos eco-system, and on the other hand supports only ZK-Rollups with L2 Cosmos zones. This can be further extended further to bridge EVM compatible network with careful design and precise engineering.
