ConneKt: An NFC-based NFT Social Game
ConneKt remains a mobile game that uses NFC and blockchain to create a social experience with real-world interaction. Here's the revised concept, incorporating the concept of minting fees and a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization):
Core Gameplay:
- Connecting with People: Players level up and earn rewards by physically connecting with each other using NFC.
- ConnectVatars: Each player has a unique ConnectVatar, a monster-like character likely generated by AI.
- Connect Tokens: Earned as rewards for making connections, these tokens incentivize players to play.
Getting Started (Onboarding Alice):
- Crypto Wallet: Alice connects a standard crypto wallet to the game for in-game transactions.
- Verification: World ID verification ensures Alice is a real person, preventing bots from flooding the game.
Alice's Dashboard:
- NFC Linking: Alice connects her NFC chip to the game, enabling real-world interactions.
- ConnectVatar Display: Alice can view her unique ConnectVatar.
- Connect Token Display: Alice sees her current balance of Connect Tokens.
Bob Connects with Alice:
- NFC Scan: Bob taps his phone's NFC reader on Alice's phone (or an NFC tag linked to her).
- ConnectVatar View: Bob can see Alice's ConnectVatar. (Future updates might allow an augmented reality view of the ConnectVatar).
- Connection Check: The game checks if Bob has already connected with Alice.
- Already Connected: If they've connected before, nothing happens. Bob just sees Alice's ConnectVatar again.
- New Connection: If it's a new connection, Bob receives a random amount of Connect Tokens as a reward.
Reward System (Raffle with Pot):
- Pot Filling: The core mechanic remains. When a new connection is made, a portion of the minting fee for the connection (NFT) goes towards a pot that accumulates for the raffle.
- Reserve for ConneKt Treasury: Another portion of the minting fee is directed to a ConneKt treasury reserve.
- DAO Governance: This reserve is controlled by a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) established for ConneKt.
- Public Good & Local Crowdfunding: The DAO will decide how to allocate funds from the reserve. This could include supporting public good causes and creating a localized crowdfunding mechanism for community projects.
- Reward Distribution: Once the pot reaches a certain point, a raffle is triggered.
- Winner: 50% of the pot goes to the winner, who is chosen randomly. Their Connect Tokens are burned (removed from circulation).
- Public Good: The remaining 50% goes towards public good projects or the local crowdfunding mechanism, as determined by the ConneKt DAO.
- Pot Restart: After a winner is chosen, the pot restarts for the next raffle.
Overall, ConneKt uses real-world interaction and gamification to encourage social connections. Players are rewarded for connecting with each other, and the game contributes to good causes through a DAO-governed public good fund and potential local crowdfunding.
The ConneKt application is multi-chain. It intereacts with Base, Mantle and Ethereum.
We used Worlcoin to verify Humanity of players thanks to World ID. The ConneKt contract allow us to link the player to verify their wallet connection, then to link it to their NFC.. to mint their personal avatar - created with AI, against the mint fees which get collected in the ConneKt pot pool.
Once the onboarding is done, the user / player can start connecting and collecting points.
Each NFC interaction made by tapping their phone, provide points (randomly distributed from 100 to 10.000 points).
The balance of the user grow in points with each NFC interctions.
Once the pot pool of currency is reached, the user with most points get it all!
At this stage, the points of the users are burnt, and they can start collecting points again from 0.
NFC Integration: Develop the functionality to connect with other players' NFC chips or linked NFC tags. This will involve reading and interpreting NFC data securely.
