Project Description
Colancers is a coordination dApp for freelance teams delivering professional services together.
It allows groups of independent workers to take on client projects as temporary teams; while ensuring transparent roles, clear deliverables, fair payment, and shared accountability.
In traditional freelance marketplaces, individuals compete in isolation and risk being underpaid or undervalued. In centralized agencies, workers often lose control over how value is distributed. Colancers offers a third way: autonomous contributors coordinating through shared rules and smart contracts.
What does it do?
- Lets a freelancer join a service project, see the scope, team, and payment upfront.
- Enables any team member to submit their deliverable.
- The client approves or rejects the submission (VoBo logic).
- Once approved, the escrowed funds are released (splitting the payment fairly and sending a 20% coordination fee to the Colancers network).
- Contributions are recorded on-chain to build a verifiable reputation.
All this, hiding complex Web3 mechanics under a clean UX that feels more like Notion or Duolingo than a crypto wallet.

How it's Made
Colancers is a simple coordination layer for freelance teams built on top of Ethereum. Each freelancer is verified with World ID, ensuring that only unique humans can join a project or submit deliverables; adding a strong trust layer without requiring KYC. And to make collaboration feel more human, we integrate ENS, so users are represented by readable names instead of raw addresses.
