ClapCoin

We’re building a Web3 social tipping app that lets any creator, no matter their follower count, generate a simple link to receive tips directly from fans. Unlike Patreon or YouTube, there are no thresholds or middlemen — tips go straight to the creator’s wallet, instantly and globally.

How it’s made

We built ClapCoin using Next.js for the frontend to give creators and fans a smooth, responsive interface. The backend logic is powered by Solidity smart contracts, which we wrote and deployed on Polygon Amoy testnet during the hackathon.

To make transactions fast and affordable, we chose Polygon as our main blockchain partner. For identity and usability, we integrated ENS, so creators can share simple human-readable names instead of long wallet addresses.

All smart contracts were successfully deployed and tested on-chain. This allowed us to demonstrate end-to-end flows — creators generating tipping links and fans sending tips directly through MetaMask.
