Project Description

Our project evolves DAO governance by introducing a Zero Knowledge proof-based framework that allows for open membership. In this model, any existing member can invite new members, enhancing the DAO's inclusivity and dynamism. This system is built upon Ethereum's smart contract capabilities and integrates Zero Knowledge proofs to ensure that voting on proposals remains anonymous, protecting voter identities until a consensus is reached.

By implementing open membership, our DAO fosters a more collaborative and expansive community, encouraging growth and participation. The innovative use of Semaphore protocols within our smart contracts ensures a seamless and secure process for member addition and voting, without sacrificing privacy. This approach not only democratizes the participation in DAO governance but also preserves the integrity and confidentiality of the voting process.

How it's Made

The core of our project is the UnionsRegistry contract, built on Solidity ^0.8.4 and leveraging the Semaphore protocol for Zero Knowledge proofs. This contract enables dynamic group management and secure, anonymous voting mechanisms. Here's a breakdown of the contract functionalities:

SemaphoreGroups Integration: Utilizes the Semaphore protocol for group creation and membership management, ensuring privacy and security. Open Membership: Allows any DAO member to invite new members, facilitated by Zero Knowledge proofs to maintain anonymity and prevent double invitations. Dynamic Group Management: Members can create new groups and add members without compromising their privacy or the group's integrity. Nullifier Hash Tracking: Ensures each invitation and join request is unique, preventing replay attacks and ensuring the system's integrity. This structure promotes a decentralized and inclusive environment where DAO governance is accessible yet secure. By incorporating Zero Knowledge proofs, we ensure that all actions, from member addition to proposal voting, are conducted with utmost privacy, aligning with the project's vision of a secure and anonymous DAO governance model.
