Building a stronger community for devs and allowing them to easily contribute to the CDP
DISCLAIMER: Not looking to win any prizes, just offering feedback.
Having GitHub "Edit Pages" buttons on each of the CDP pages is a great way to get devs interacting more with the codebase. They can fix any errors they spot, add any apps or projects they've made to a "Projects" section or share any success stories they've recently had on their CDP journey in a "Highlights/Success Stories" section. This way the dev community can easily make contributions and continue to feel like they're a part of something special.
It's also important to highlight devs ability to contribute to the pages and guidelines, so having a "Contributions" link at the top of the site (next to "We're Hiring" and "Get Help") is much better than this link hidden within different product pages.
The Onchain Summer Buildathon projects are on the Devfolio site. Hackathons are a great way to onboard devs and if the goal is to onboard a million devs, I think building out your own hackathon portal and managing the hackathons directly would be quite useful.
Lastly, for the creative devs or perhaps creators, artists and writers, writing cohorts are another great event to get people's thoughts and ideas fleshed out. This also gives them, especially shy devs, the opportunity to work on their own storytelling. Whilst marketing teams like to highlight projects and individuals, ideally as many as possible, I don't think this is scalable and can be relayed as well as the individual sharing their own story and journey themselves. A writing cohort can give them the confidence needed to boost their online presence and share their projects to the world. All thanks to CDP!
You would need to add GitHub Edit Pages buttons throughout the site. I'm sure there's also a clever way to incorporate the Coinbase Developer Platform templates with continued interactions similar to the CDP Quest, which I thought was a great way to get introduced to them, especially templates that I was not initially interested in.
Hosting the writing cohort would be a neat experiment that could mirror what ethereum.org does.
