Care

Privacy-focused period tracker on Hypergraph with secure data and supportive sharing.

Project Description

Care is a revolutionary period tracking application that prioritizes privacy, community support, and data ownership. Built on Hypergraph's decentralized data platform, this app allows women to privately track their period cycles, symptoms, and experiences while maintaining complete control over their personal health information. The app features a dual approach: private spaces where users can securely log their period data, and public community spaces where they can optionally share experiences to connect with other women facing similar challenges. This creates a supportive environment where women can find community without compromising their privacy. Key features include secure period tracking with customizable fields (start/end dates, symptoms, notes), the ability to publish experiences to public spaces when desired, and a community forum where women can support each other through shared experiences. The app uses Hypergraph's advanced data management to ensure data remains private by default while enabling optional community sharing.

How it's Made

Care is built using modern web technologies with a focus on privacy and user experience. The frontend is developed with React and TypeScript, providing a responsive and intuitive interface. The app uses TanStack Router for seamless navigation and Tailwind CSS for a beautiful, accessible design. The core data management is powered by Hypergraph, a decentralized data platform that provides secure, private data storage with optional public sharing capabilities. The app implements a custom schema for period tracking that includes start/end dates, month tracking, personal notes, and user identification. The architecture separates private and public data spaces, allowing users to maintain complete control over their information. Private spaces use Hypergraph's secure data storage, while public spaces enable community sharing through the same platform. The app includes features like community selection, forum-style discussion cards, and interactive elements like support and reply buttons to foster community engagement. The UI is designed with women's health in mind, using warm colors (pink and purple gradients) and supportive language that creates a welcoming, non-clinical environment. The app automatically handles data synchronization and provides real-time updates across different community spaces. This project demonstrates how decentralized technology can be used to create supportive, private health applications that prioritize user autonomy while fostering community connection.
