Cake is an innovative all-in-one decentralized application (dApp) designed specifically for start-up funding management. Our comprehensive solution empowers start-ups to seamlessly handle a variety of processes related to securing and managing their funding. By leveraging blockchain technology, Cake ensures that all transactions and data are recorded on-chain, providing a transparent and immutable single source of truth. This level of reliability is crucial in the often chaotic and fast-paced environment that start-ups operate in.

The primary advantage of our dApp is its ability to streamline funding management tasks, reducing the complexity and uncertainty that typically accompany start-up operations. With Cake, start-ups can easily track and manage their funding sources, expenditures, and financial milestones, all within a secure and transparent platform. This not only enhances efficiency but also builds trust with investors and stakeholders, as they have access to verifiable and tamper-proof records.

The project was initially bootstrapped using the eth-scaffold framework, providing a solid foundation for our development. We enhanced the user interface by incorporating Shadcn components, ensuring a modern and intuitive design. To strengthen our identity verification processes, we integrated advanced solutions such as Polygon ID and Worldcoin.

Our smart contracts (SCs) were meticulously developed in Solidity, a programming language specifically designed for implementing smart contracts on blockchain platforms. These contracts were subsequently deployed on the Optimism Sepolia network, taking advantage of its scalability and low transaction costs.

For the frontend development, we utilized Next.js, a powerful framework that enables server-side rendering and static site generation, offering a seamless user experience. To facilitate interaction with our smart contract logic on the respective platforms, we leveraged libraries provided by Worldcoin and Polygon ID. These libraries ensure efficient and secure communication between our frontend application and the blockchain-based backend.

A crucial component of our application is the Worldcoin KYC (Know Your Customer) system, which acts as a proof of humanity. This integration is particularly noteworthy as it provides a robust anti-bot mechanism, especially valuable during events such as Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs). By ensuring that only verified humans can participate, we can prevent fraudulent activities and enhance the overall security and integrity of the process.
