BuildFi

BuildFi is a crowd investment platform where developers can commit a portion of the project’s token in return of funds. As a builder with an awesome idea and good social proof (verified via zk-kyc), you can promise a percentage of your project's tokens to the crowd. In return they pool funds, which get disbursed to you sequentially as you hit milestones.

The project is built for 2 kinds of people, developers building interesting projects and investors or the general crowd looking for nice projects to invest in. Developers get onboarded into the platform with zkKYC, which links their wallet to their email id. Once email is verified, the investors can look at various platforms with the linked email (like GitHub or LinkedIn) to verify the authenticity and credibility of developer. The KYC is automatically done in the background and the dev can create an account after that. While creating a project, they specify the milestones and the associated dates along with the percentage of total funding raised that they wish to collect upon completion of that milestone. After funding ends, the developer starts the project by creating an Attestation which is a contract committing to give the amount of tokens promised at the end of the project. Each milestone, the investors can vote on whether it has been successfully achieved or not. To claim the last milestone's payout, the developer has to set and transfer the tokens of the project into BuildFi which gets distributed to the investors proportionally, upon project completion.
