Project Description

Zora free editions represent a positive-sum version of SocialFi, where collecting is more than just tipping—it's a curation process that helps separate signal from noise.

Collecting cards on builder.cards (similar to minting NFTs on Zora) for a fixed fee of 0.001 ETH directly benefits builders and serves as a true signal of support.

By collecting, you can save and showcase your favorite builders onchain, demonstrating genuine appreciation for their work. The collect fee is automatically split between the builder, the top three collectors, referrers, and the platform, ensuring a fair distribution of rewards. Additionally, you can earn rewards by becoming a top collector or referring new builders to the platform.

How it's Made

builder.cards is a dApp built with nextJS, JoyUI, Supabase (Postgres), Dynamic.xyz, WAGMI and viem.

We built a custom ERC1155 in order to satisfy our custom logic needs and we’re integrating directly with the Talent Passport API. (https://docs.talentprotocol.com/api/api-reference)

We use the Talent Passport API as the main source of data for builder.cards, we query the API directly for our search and for the basic profile information.

Our custom ERC1155 allows any Talent Passport to be collected for 0.001 ETH. This ETH is shared with the Top 3 collectors of that Talent Passport, the owner of the Talent Passport as well as a small platform fee.

Our backend is storing extra information after every collect event occurs in order to be able to calculate the top collectors as well as some extra data to simplify the data aggregation to serve the frontend.

Our frontend makes use of SSR to provide a seamless UX experience and uses dynamic in order to be able to provide any user that might not have a wallet the means to start collecting builder cards. Users with existing wallets can also simply use their existing wallet in order to collect builder cards.
