Breedproof is a decentralized animal identity system that turns an animal’s DNA into a unique, verifiable on-chain credential.

Problem identified: Animal identity today is fragile, siloed, and easy to manipulate. Whether it's a purebred pet, a rescue animal, or livestock, verifying origin, breed, and authenticity is:

  • Manual and expensive (vet-issued certificates, physical paperwork)
  • Easy to forge (printed docs, hacked databases)
  • Non-interoperable across countries, vets, or registries This results in:
  • Widespread fraud in the pet and livestock market
  • Poor traceability of animal welfare

How it's Made

Breedproof verifies, scores, and registers animal identities based on DNA hashes, breed/origin registries, and immutable records — issuing tamper-proof NFT credentials. It’s designed to work across veterinary, agricultural, breeding, and animal welfare domains.
