BlockLeaks

BlockLeaks is a groundbreaking project that challenges traditional boundaries of anonymity and information disclosure. Leveraging cutting-edge blockchain technologies such as Gnosis, Sismo, and FileCoin, our anonymity-preserving solution allows its users to share confidential information anonymously while proving their affiliation to a specific group, and thus the origin and value of the insider informations shared.

BlockLeaks is deployed into the Gnosis ecosystem and uses Sismo technology to provide ZK proof of group affiliation, securing the whistleblower's identity. The shared informations is safely stored on FileCoin censorship-resistant infrastructure, preventing its concealement from the most APT groups on the planet.

BlockLeaks is designed to encourage authenticity and deter misinformation. When a whistleblower submits a leak, he/she must stake a deposit until the information is voted as credible by DAO members and independent journalists. Once the leak is verified and considered truthful by the composite DAO, the staked amount is returned to the user. However, if the DAO judged the submission abusive, the staked amount is donated to the DAO treasury, and the submission marked as such.

BlockLeaks embodies a new era of information freedom, where security, anonymity, and accuracy are fundamental rights of humanity. BlockLeaks provides a solution where individuals can share information with assurance that their safety and anymity is mathematically protected. Forever and against anyone.

The BlockLeaks project uses Sismo Connect to verify the IRL public identity of a whistleblower's association with a specific group (ie a company, a government, a political movement, a lobby, etc.) without revealing its identity [IRL ID/WALLET].

By connecting a GitHub account to Sismo, BlockLeaks can check the membership into private repositories of the organisation the whistleblower claim to belong to, or with engagement through is Twitter account activity, or with his on-chain history.

While thoses accounts linked to the personal identity of the whistleblower, Sismo leverages thoses proofs, known as data gems, to send to another wallet [WHISTLEBLOWER ID/WALLET], belonging to the same whistleblower and completely isolated from the whistleblower IRL ID, a ZK proof of his/her affiliation with the organization he/she claims to be part of.

The ZK proof detained by the WHISTLE ID wallet allows him/her to send information to a smart contract deployed on the Gnosis blockchain, based on the validation of the front-end Sismo Connect component.

Whistleblowers can write messages or leaks on-chain, after staking xDai to support their claim and commiting to truthful statements. This creates an incentive for users to disclose authentic information and deters the spread of misinformation, or the burying of such information into abusively generated false claims.

BlockLeaks leverages FileCoin & IPFS to store any files on-chain, ensuring their persistence and accessibility in the public domain, thus ensuring the disclosed information will remain securely stored and easily accessible to anyone who wishes to access it.

In summary, the BlockLeaks project leverages advanced blockchain technologies to provide a secure and reliable platform for anonymous information disclosure.
