Project Description

BioVault is a privacy-first platform combining advanced biometrics, zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs, and decentralized storage for next-generation insurance policy management and claims processing. Users can seamlessly log in using Privy, making their wallet their unique identity across the platform. Identity and eligibility are verified through the Self Protocol (for passport, age, and country gating) and unique biometric signals (like heartbeat patterns), with all eligibility checks performed through ZK proofs to maximize privacy and regulatory compliance.

Once verified, users can obtain insurance policies cryptographically linked to their wallet, government-issued credentials, and biometrics. When filing a claim (e.g., via PDF upload), BioVault uses a decentralized set of agents running on Vercel Fluid compute to evaluate the claim against the user’s policy. These agents independently review the claim, then reach a consensus via majority voting to determine eligibility for reimbursement.

All claims, policy details, and eligibility outcomes are stored persistently, decentralized, and encrypted on Walrus via Tusky. This guarantees sensitive user data remains tamper-proof, censorship-resistant, and accessible only to authorized parties, while benefiting from Tusky’s seamless integration and reliability. BioVault provides transparency, data sovereignty, and a frictionless user experience for insurance workflows.

How it's Made

BioVault utilizes a strong, flexible, and privacy-focused architecture:

  • Privy Wallet Login: Users sign in effortlessly with Privy; their wallet acts as their constant platform identity.
  • Self-Protocol Integration: Supports privacy-focused passport verification, age, and country restrictions before issuing policies.
  • Biometric Authentication & ZK Proofs: Heartbeat patterns and other biometrics are processed and verified with custom zero-knowledge circuits, demonstrating eligibility without revealing raw data.
  • Policy Management: Insurance policies are cryptographically connected to users' wallets, credentials, and biometrics.
  • Claims Processing: Users submit claims (PDFs), which are automatically analyzed and matched to their policies.
  • Decentralized Agent Voting: Vercel Fluid compute runs stateless, auto-scaling agents that review claims and policies, making decisions through majority voting.
  • Persistent, Decentralized & Encrypted Storage (Walrus via Tusky): All claims and eligibility results are encrypted and stored on Walrus via Tusky, ensuring decentralization, persistence, and tamper resistance.
  • Automation & Security: End-to-end encryption, automated ZK proofs, and chunked file uploads ensure maximum privacy and performance. Policy and claim models are modular for quick expansion.

Notable Details:

  • Deep integration with partner APIs (Privy, Self Protocol, Vercel Fluid, Walrus via Tusky) for rapid, secure deployment.
  • In-browser ZK proof generation and chunked PDF uploads for seamless user experience.
  • The decentralized Walrus storage, accessed via Tusky, guarantees audibility, transparency, and user data sovereignty, setting a new standard for privacy in insurance technology.

BioVault redefines insurance by blending user-centric privacy, automation, decentralized tech, and seamless wallet-based identity.
