ARC - Risk Coverage

ARC is a parametric climate coverage protocol for farmers. It uses Chainlink Functions to fetch weather and price data, and an off-chain AI model to calculate a dynamic Risk Index based on the last 5 years of climate patterns. Farmers subscribe by paying a premium (in stablecoins or fiat), which is stored in a secure smart contract pool. If extreme weather hits (e.g. drought, frost), the contract triggers an automatic payout — calculated based on crop type, surface, and real-time market prices. The MVP includes a working frontend with Metamask, subscription flow, Chainlink integration, and mock backend.

The ARC MVP uses Solidity (Hardhat) for all contract logic, including multi-token subscription and automated payouts. Chainlink Functions fetch real-time weather data and price feeds. A backend Flask server computes the Risk Index and premium using AI and Open-Meteo historical data. Frontend is built in React with Metamask integration. ETH can be swapped to USDC via the 1inch API. The contracts are deployed and verified on Sepolia testnet. Everything is open-source and structured for real-world use.
