AEVM – LST Index

Crypto Index Funds with Built-in Native Yield from underlying LST/LRT

AEVM – LST Index

Created At

ETHGlobal Cannes

Project Description

AEVM is designed to empower a unified ecosystem where multiple LSTs/LRTs converge, unlocking native yield and advanced DeFi opportunities across altcoins — all of this without fragmenting TVL of their native networks.

  • Native Yield AEVM brings together a diverse range of altcoins on a single network and empowers them with native yield from their LSTs/LRTs

  • Structured Products AEVM enables users to diversify their staking portfolio across multiple altcoins through LST index funds, optimizing risks and returns

  • AI Yield Optimization AEVM utilizes AI to optimize staking strategies dynamically, maximizing yield for users across its diverse altcoin ecosystem

  • Unlimited Growth AEVM ecosystem expands continuously, integrating other networks, launching LSTs for their tokens and leveraging their communities

How it's Made

AEVM creates a unified platform where various Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs) and Liquid Restaking Tokens (LRTs) come together, enabling native yield and advanced DeFi opportunities for altcoins without splitting the Total Value Locked (TVL) of their home networks.

When you bridge altcoins to AEVM, they’re automatically wrapped into their corresponding LST/LRT to earn staking rewards.

For example, bridging HBAR from Hedera to AEVM works like this:

  1. HBAR (Hedera) → stHBAR (LST on Hedera)
  2. stHBAR is locked in the bridge, generating staking rewards from LST yield
  3. A rebasing ERC-20 HBAR token is minted to the user’s account on AEVM
  4. As rewards accumulate on Hedera (via stHBAR LST), they’re distributed to all Rebase HBAR (AEVM) holders through rebasing

In just 24 hours, we built and deployed a prototype with:

  1. AEVM devnet network (go-ethereum node) using $ACFI as the gas token
  2. Omnichain frontend connected to Hedera Testnet, Flow Testnet, Flare Testnet, and AEVM devnet
  3. AEVM Bridge smart contract that handles gas token deposits, wraps them into LSTs, and locks them in a single transaction
  4. ERC20 Rebase smart contract, built on OpenZeppelin’s ERC20 mintable/burnable framework with rebasing functionality (rebase method + share balance tracking)
  5. AEVM Bridge backend that monitors EVM events on Hedera, Flow, and Flare, minting ERC20 Rebase tokens on AEVM when a deposit event is detected (currently single-signature in the MPC, with future multi-signer upgrade potential)
  6. AEVM Frontend/dashboard showing ERC20 rebasing balances for all tokens (HBAR, FLOW, FLR)

Then, rebase tokens will be used into ERC-7621 Crypto Index Funds Basket — allowing asset management, rebalancing, management fees, etc.
