Project Description

Adrails is a Web3-native ad network for AI agents, designed to let AI developers monetise their creations in a decentralised, trustless way. Any AI agent — whether a chatbot, autonomous assistant, or recommendation engine — can integrate Adrails via our lightweight SDK. Once integrated, Adrails injects context-relevant ads into the AI’s responses or actions.

Advertisers fund campaigns directly on-chain through Hedera EVM smart contracts using HBAR or HTS tokens. Ad impressions, clicks, and interactions are recorded immutably on the Hedera Consensus Service, providing verifiable, tamper-proof proof of engagement. Smart contracts handle instant, automatic payouts to AI agent hosts, eliminating intermediaries and ensuring transparency.

Adrails is more than just an ad network: it enables autonomous, self-sustaining AI agents. Agents can spend their earnings to pay for compute, API calls, or other services, allowing them to survive and operate independently. This creates a novel economic model where AI agents act as micro-businesses within the Web3 ecosystem.

For developers, Adrails provides:

Plug-and-play SDKs for popular AI frameworks (LangChain, Autogen, Hedera Agent Kit).

Full control and visibility over ad monetisation and revenue.

Integration with multiple Hedera services: Smart Contracts (EVM), Consensus Service, Scheduled Transactions, and Token Service.

The project demonstrates a novel AI-blockchain integration that creates real utility for both AI developers and advertisers while showcasing Hedera’s high-speed, low-fee, and highly secure capabilities.

In short, Adrails transforms AI agents into Web3-native, revenue-generating autonomous entities — the first ad network designed specifically for the AI economy.

How it's Made

Built on Next.js 15 + TypeScript with a hybrid approach: Server Actions for type-safe database ops via Drizzle ORM + Neon Postgres, and API Routes for external integrations. The system combines Hedera Consensus Service for immutable campaign logging, Pinecone vector database for semantic ad matching, and OpenAI function calling for RAG-powered AI responses. Every campaign action gets recorded on-chain via HCS while ads are semantically matched to AI agent contexts through vector embeddings.
