A more accessible cryptocurrency wallet for people in the global south built on chat and ERC-4337!
A more accessible cryptocurrency wallet for people in the global south built on chat! We are using ERC4337, a chat bot to create a more easy to use wallet for people in the global south.
This is a demo of a chat wallet that will be deployed on Polygon, Optimism, Gnosis Chain and Ethereum.
A chat-based crypto wallet has the potential to make it easier for people in the global south to participate in the digital economy, access financial services, and transact securely and affordably with people in other countries.
Accessibility: Chat-based wallets can be accessed through widely available messaging apps, making them accessible to anyone with a smartphone and an internet connection. This is especially important in the global south, where traditional banking infrastructure may be lacking and many people may not have access to bank accounts.
Ease of use: Many people in the global south may not be familiar with crypto wallets and the technical jargon associated with them. A chat-based wallet could simplify the user experience and make it more intuitive for people who are new to crypto.
Cross-border payments: Many people in the global south have family members or business partners in other countries, and cross-border payments can be expensive and slow using traditional banking channels. A chat-based crypto wallet could enable faster, cheaper, and more secure cross-border payments.
A more accessible cryptocurrency wallet for people in the global south built on chat! We created a chat interface that allows users to interact with Polygon, Gnosis Chain, Optimism, and Ethereum using simple chat prompts and responses.
The initial build included a WhatsApp implementation built using Twilio
but had to hold back on deploying that version because of time constraints. We also wanted to create a Paymaster funded by mobile money. Cross chain transactions using Connext and support for PNS and ENS vital for easier transactions.
Another must have is SMS and Pin authentication.
The current build demonstrates chat flow, transactions and the use of ERC-4337 to solve the problem.
