  • Verify certain aspects or attributes of something’s identity (verifications, skills, identity)
  • Provide a guarantee that something happened, was said, or was completed.
  • Provide proof of provenance or the origination of something
  • Provide a 3rd party proof of anything - like provenance, skills, funds, attendance, contribution
  • Build a reputation system within a community, marketplace, or app.
  • Generate a badge or verification for someone/thing
  • Prove/verify compliance in a process to prove specific procedures were followed
  • Prove/verify that a statement was made by someone at sometime
  • Provide more transparency in decision-making processes
  • Generating receipts of payments or events

Below are a few ideas to help inspire what you could build during a hackathon:

  • Social graphs based on attestation data
  • Sybil resistance use case for various types of verifications
  • Account Abstraction + Attestations for Authorization (ex. Requiring an attestation from the treasury manager to authorize a payment).
  • Dynamic NFTs based on attestation data and ERC-6651
  • Simple ticketing applications for meetups or events
  • Verify the authenticity of content in the age of AI
  • Zero-knowledge attestations using EAS + Sismo or other to prove you have an attestation without revealing the address that has it
  • Proof of anything like proof of attendance, proof of compliance, proof of skill.
  • Attesting to the roles in an online community
  • Subscription-based memberships using attestations that expire
  • Digital voting systems for any type of competition or community decision
  • A digital marketplace for schema coordination
