At EthGlobal Lisbon, The Graph is awarding $15,000 across three tracks.

  • In the AI Tooling track, prizes are $3,000 (1st), $2,000 (2nd), and $2,000 (3rd).
  • In the other two tracks on Best AI Use Case and Best Use of Composable/Standardized Graph Data Products, prizes are $2,500 (1st), $1,500 (2nd), and $1,000 (3rd).

Build a tool that makes The Graph easier to use from AI environments like Claude, Cursor, and ChatGPT. Think reusable infrastructure, not a single app: new or extended MCP servers, agent SKILLs, x402 payment tooling, A2A integrations, framework plugins, or one-click client configs. Featured challenge from the Substreams team: use the Substreams SKILLs to deliver the best one-prompt deployment, going from a single natural-language prompt to a working, deployed Substreams pipeline.

  • A one-prompt Substreams deployment flow using the Substreams SKILLs
  • A cross-protocol MCP that fans one query across every protocol on a shared standard schema
  • A layered MCP that unifies several Standardized Subgraph schemas behind one agent interface

  • A project built on Nuthatch, extending its MCP tools, adding new SKILLs, or wiring its output into an agent workflow.

Qualification Requirements

  • Submit reusable tooling or infrastructure (MCP server, SKILL, plugin, client config, or payment tooling), not a single end-user app.
  • The tooling must work against live blockchain data, whether from a Graph provider (for example Subgraph Studio for Subgraphs or The Graph Market for Substreams) or a self-hosted indexer such as Nuthatch. Purely mocked or static datasets do not qualify.
  • Open-source the code with a clear README or SKILL.md.
  • Extending or improving an existing tool is welcome if clearly additive.
  • Submit a public repository and a 2–4 minute demo video.

Qualification Requirements

  • Use The Graph as a load-bearing source of blockchain data (Subgraphs, Subgraph MCP, or Substreams).
  • Consume live data from a Graph provider. Mocked or static data does not qualify.
  • Include an AI/agent component that reasons over or acts on the data, not just prints a raw query result.
  • Submit a public repository and a 2–4 minute demo video.
  • Briefly describe how The Graph is used (which Subgraphs, endpoints, tools).
  • Build the project during the event; open-source starter kits are fine.

Build on The Graph's composable and standardized data products. Use Standardized Subgraphs (one shared schema across every protocol of a type) to run a single query across many protocols, compose reusable Substreams packages into new pipelines, or layer the Subgraph MCP for cross-protocol analysis. New composable Substreams modules for emerging standards (e.g. ERC-4626 vault flows) also count.

Examples:

  • A cross-protocol analytics dashboard comparing TVL/revenue across ten lending markets with one Lending/CDP standard-schema query
  • A DEX revenue comparator running one query pattern across every AMM on the DEX AMM standard
  • A layered MCP comparing lending, DEX, and derivatives markets side by side
  • A pipeline composing reusable Substreams packages (.spkg) into a new sink (Postgres, ClickHouse, Kafka, files)
  • A new composable Substreams module for an emerging standard (e.g. ERC-4626)
  • A new Standardized Subgraph for a protocol category that lacks one

Qualification Requirements

  • Either compose two or more of The Graph's products, or build meaningfully on a standardized schema (e.g. Messari Standardized Subgraphs).
  • Consume live data from a Graph provider. Mocked or static data does not qualify.
  • Simply querying one Subgraph with no composition or standardization does not qualify.
  • Authoring/extending a Standardized Subgraph, or contributing a reusable composable Substreams module, is in scope.
  • Make the standards leverage clear — show what became easier because of a shared schema or composed product.
  • Submit a public repository and a 2–4 minute demo video.
