We live in a world where we constantly have to filter ourselves online for fear of compromising job security, the safety of our family, etc. based on the information we choose to share. We are not able to completely be ourselves online. We have been censored as a people and ZIkZak aims to solve this and change this reality by providing a way for users to anonymously share their expertise without revealing their true identities.

By using zero knowledge verifiable credentials, a user can prove they have expertise in, for example, computer engineering, and be authorized by the platform to create an account and share their expertise. Viewers can then have confidence that the content that they are consuming is from a legitimate source without needing to know who that source is. This is great for whistleblowers who will no longer have to risk their lives to share sensitive information that can benefit the greater good of society. This is also great for the corporate executive that would like to share their passions outside of work without diluting their personal brand.

Zik Zak is the beacon of hope needed in this fight against censorship.

zkZak uses World ID to verify that this is a first time a user is signing up to post on the platform.

Polygon ID is used to validate credentials using zero knowledge proofs.

Lens Protocol is used to build out a decentralized social graph for users to share their insights and expertise.

First we started out by building out the Lens powered backend infrastructure, which consists of Lens module smart contracts and APi calls to allow creators to post content and viewers to follow creators and collect, repost and comment on their posts.

Then we built out a simple frontend that presented the basic functionality of the platform and integrated all the necessary tools: World ID, Polygon ID and the Lens backend.

Next we tested everything out to make sure all integrations were seamless and we had a working product.

Finally we deployed our MVP on Coinbase Cloud for ease and security.
