Project Description

Currently, there is no digital tool that allows women to share personal information without the fear that this information may be manipulated, controlled or published in other media without their consent. Exposing your identity and removing your integrity.

This violence in the digital environment is an extension of the gender inequality that has existed in all aspects of women's lives.

In the digital environment, this behavior is known as droxxing.

According to Amnesty International, a quarter of female Internet users have been droxxed at least once in their lives.

If we add to this that according to the United States Federal Trade Commission, 54% of small businesses do not invest in cybercrime prevention because they have the idea that they do not store private data. We are facing big problems where information can be easily stolen and linked with an identity. Which can result in other crimes such as cyberbullying, identity theft, acts that damage reputation, etc.

In order to find an effective solution to the problem posed, an idea was developed with the support of Lenster technology and the Lens protocol.

The idea is to develop a token, using the Lenster handle, that gives women individual access to a secure and discreet social network created by and for them as a community.

Being a single token, we will ensure that the information collected is not identified with a specific user, but with the token in general.

This allows us to comply with the data protection principles: purpose limitation, minimization and accuracy, which are provided in the General Data Protection Regulation. Document adopted by various countries in Latin America.

The social network will be fed little by little with the content that women share. To achieve this, the women will give up their token in an act of sorority for whoever needs that space the most.

The social purpose of the project is that as this is a safe and free space, women feel the opportunity to be able to express sensitive issues that serve as a reference for other women to carry out remote accompaniment.

The intention of the project is that later it can be a more interactive social network with parallel participation. To achieve this, a proxy will be developed within a smart contract. This system will prevent the token from having to be transferred with each entry and will allow women to expand access to the social network.

How it's Made

The technology used in our project works like other social networks developed in Polygon that use the Lens protocol API to achieve security, decentralization and efficiency.

VNUS differs from other social networks in the contribution it can make to other decentralized projects. For example, for Aave Grants DAO who support socially conscious communities.

In this sense, our community provides a safe space for a conversation of trust with other women who have lived similar experiences.

This project is a great contribution to the Ethereum network as it manages to include vulnerable groups within the ecosystem.

The contents of the platform will consist of brief chats with tagged information for optimal location. They will be stored with the Storage Wizard tool in which each transaction will be paid through ads from advertisers to related topics.

In turn, committed to the social sense of VNUS and in line with dYdX, we seek to promote access to information and education through decentralized technology.

We were surprised to realize the impact and well-being that our project can have on an ecosystem like Lens.
