Project Description
Social recovery solutions that exist out there today are far from ideal. Most of these protocols break up your secret into small shares and these shares are distributed both to the user and then a few shares to a network. BUT THE USER IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE POINT OF FAILURE! So, I came up with a solution where you could participate in both social and network consensus to recover your credentials. The idea is to break up your secret into shamir shares, and then encrypt these shares with public keys from your social circle and then store it on chain. Furthermore, you can create a schema, which when sorted and hashed, represents a secure set of security questions, which can then be used to store and retrieve shares from a private (further creation of sharea) P2P network. Together these represent a more consistent and secure social recovery mechanism.
How it's Made
Figuring out how to store stuff on a p2p network with only I having the ability to retreive mny respective shares. Also, figuring out a way so that my peers don''t have to maintain my shares iun addition to maintaining their private keys. I was looking for a solution that puts minimum on humans to be reliable. Also, zk proofs are limited to 32 characters
