Streamlining delegate tracking. We provide real-time notifications on delegate changes, moving beyond Twitter to a more accessible platform. Stay informed on key ecosystem moves. Make governance more transparent/accessible.
The PDA (Public Delegate Announcement) project is a novel solution aimed at tracking fundamental changes of delegates. As of now, the only way to determine if a delegator has stepped down or is actively voting is through Twitter, a method that is not easily accessible to all stakeholders in a decentralized ecosystem.
PDA is designed to overcome this challenge by providing notifications in form of snaps for all changes related to your delegation. These notifications inform stakeholders when delegates plan to make moves that are critical to the ecosystem's function and stability.
The benefits of PDA are manifold.
If a delegate decides to step down, they have the option to propose one or multiple successors. This ensures that their responsibilities and roles are not left vacant and that the ecosystem continues to function smoothly. This proposal is immediately made public through the PDA platform.
All stakeholders see this change in real-time and have the opportunity to select from the proposed successors. They can do this easily and quickly, maintaining their representation within the ecosystem without the need for extensive research or information gathering.
PDA simplifies this process and ensures a seamless transition for both the stepping-down delegate and their stakeholders. By providing a more accessible and transparent platform for delegate tracking, PDA is set to revolutionize the way stakeholders interact with their delegates, fostering a more secure, representative, and transparent decentralized ecosystem.
This project in using metamask snap technology to get notification of gouvernance moves directly on metamask, linked to tokens. e.g you're delegate is stepping out from $APE, you should have a notification if you're metamask address is holding $APE. We used metamask-snap frontend template (https://github.com/xbendercode/PDA) and scaffolt-eth template. (https://github.com/quietude0x/pda).
