MentorDAO

We recognize that the best way to learn code is by building, but junior developers lack the knowledge to deliver products. At Mentor DAO, mentors build a team with mentees to create real products earning real bounties. A Client submits a smart contract RFP and mentors who is excited to solve the project form a team with mentees. Each team is a micro DAO (mDAO) with mentees. The mDAO that wins the RFP builds the product and deploys it to the smart contract, once accepted the bounty is released to the mDAOs wallet. But bounties are short-lived and therefore not sustainable, Mentor DAO encourages the use of royalties in the smart contract, to create longevity and better compensation models for open-source developers.
Finally, during bear markets companies and projects (Client) are forced to conserve capital, by combining bounties, education and royalties, clients can save on up-front development cost but still providing equitable compensation.

The RFP is deployed as a smart contract with all parameters defined (e.g. Bounty, project spec, royalties, etc.) Mentors are developers that have proven domain expertise, by using Worldcoin, ENS, POAP, GitHub and other standards a Mentor is identified. A Mentor forms a Mirco DAO (mDAO) to which mentees can join. Mentees join with similar identification methods to Mentors (ex. ENS, Worldcoin, GitHub). Each member of the mDAO receives a NFT using NFTPort/Covalent. NFT’s used for governance of the mDAO. The mDAO will use a GnosisSafe multi-sig to secure funds. The mDAO members use their ENS to deploy code to Radicle. Once the mDAO deploys the product to the Client’s and the client accepts the bounty is released to the mDAO multi-sig. Products pay back royalties to the mDAO based the rules in the initial RFP.
