HNDSHK allows you to instantly connect and nourish irreplaceable relationships through NFT handshake cards which you can create, manage, and shk
The Problem
Our team had a ton of fun at Ethglobal this past weekend! In addition to meeting each other, we made countless other connections. A problem that we found though, is that when you meet someone, you may want to continue to stay in touch, but you forget to share contact details. Additionally, since everyone has a preferred method of staying connected ranging from text to Telegram it makes it even more difficult to coordinate. And then on top of that, after you have connected, you need to put in the effort to reach out again to further, grow, maintain and build that relationship.
The Idea
HNDSHK allows you to instantly connect and nourish irreplaceable relationships through NFT handshake cards which you can create, manage, and shk
Exchanging cards is done instantly through NFC tap (HNDSHK). And when you HNDSHK, you also connect on mutual social handles and a POAP is minted which further documents the occasion. Since NFC taps can only be done in person, HNDSHK encourages in-person interactions.
In contrast to popular Social Media platforms which are often attention grabs or races to build a following, HNDSHK incentives quality over quantity connections. This is done through a gamified experience - card rarity upgrades, personal card benefits, and reach-out reminders
Roadmap
New Features -> Comparison - With the off and on chain data, HNDSHK can suggest conversation starters, identify mutual friends, and celebrate interests on exchange -> Advanced Filtering - HNDSHK can make queries like “Who have I met at ETHglobal”, “Who do I collaborate well with:”
New Use-cases -> Content creators, musicians, and Influencers - can offer a one-way card exchange, new membership benefits, and a HNDSHK marketplace to sell rare cards -> Business - can use HNDSHK cards for special promos or punch passes
The frontend was built using React-Native using all custom-designed components. The backend was built in Next.js and contracts in Solidity. To create the smart contract we used a factory contract to generate ERC1155 to users, and then we kept track of those in factory contracts. In terms of sponsor integrations we have connected with:
-> @IPFS - To store all NFT HDNSHK data -> @Polygon - All contracts are on Polygon Mumbai -> @Unlock - To gate personal benefits in NFT HNDSHK cards -> @Lens - Implemented follow on LENS such that when you exchange HDNSHK cards you automatically follow their profile
