Fragmento helps you migrate your meaningful social data from Web2 to Web3.
Today, ourĀ digital identitiesĀ are multiple, spanning different accounts across different platforms. And yet we don't own these accounts or data and have no rights to them. The current era is one of digital tenancy and we shouldnāt start from scratch. Fragmento allows you to choose which tweets you'd like to import from Twitter and archive it as a post on Lens. The post metadata is first uploaded to ipfs through Web3Storage and then mint it as a post in Lens.
Fragmento uses Twitter API, Lens API, and Web3Storage. The Twitter API is used to retrieve all the tweets from a user. These tweets can only be tweets and not retweets. The user can choose which tweets would like to migrate over to Web3. To migrate those tweets, the Lens API is used to first check if the user owns a Lens handle, and if so, the user can start the selection process. Once a selection has been made, the tweet's metadata is uploaded to ipfs using the Web3Storage API. Finally, a post is minted calling the Lens API.
