ColdStash

Cold Stash allows users to link a cold wallet for secure storage. Engage in DeFi swaps via a hot wallet, and funds auto-transfer to the cold wallet, reducing multiple cold connections. The platform also offers auto-yield features, like routing rETH to cold wallets post-swap.

Project Description

πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅ Hot Wallet meets 🀝 Cold Wallet πŸ₯ΆπŸ₯ΆπŸ₯Ά

Cold Stash is a platform tailored for those seeking a more streamlined approach to DeFi activities. Users can link their cold wallet, enabling them to transact through a hot wallet. After conducting operations such as swaps, the resulting assets are transferred to the linked cold wallet.

The platform also introduces functionality for asset optimization. With pre-configured options available, users can engage in activities that yield assets like rETH. As DeFi offerings evolve, Cold Stash is set to adapt. Upcoming features will provide users the ability to exchange assets and receive tokens like Gho, USDC, or rETH. Additionally, planned integrations with platforms like Aave offer the potential for assets to be routed into yield-generating activities post-swap, with outcomes delivered to the user's cold wallet.

How it's Made

Airstack: One of the main technical challenges in the DeFi space is resolving user addresses. We incorporated Airstack to help query and resolve addresses like ENS or LENS. This ensures that regardless of the address format a user inputs, we consistently target the correct cold wallet.

Multi-Network Support: With the DeFi landscape expanding beyond just the Ethereum mainnet, we've ensured compatibility with major EVM networks. This includes Base, Arbitrum, Ethereum, Polygon, Scroll, and Neon, allowing users to seamlessly operate across these chains.

Walletconnect's web3modal: While there are multiple options for web3 providers, Walletconnect's web3modal was our top pick. It's a mature tool offering a user-friendly experience, letting users connect their wallets seamlessly. This makes onboarding and transactions straightforward.

1inch Dev APIs: A major feature of being able to get and display quotes to users before doing staking and swapping operations. These APIs proved security and flexibility when it comes to chain and token selection.

Front-end Technologies: The user interface is vital in ensuring a good user experience. We chose React combined with Next.js for its scalability, ease of use, and community support. TailwindCSS aids in rapid development, ensuring the UI is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
