Blockreview

Blockreview is a simple on-chain review infrastructure that indexes web3 projects across the internet and allows users to post real, honest reviews to educate and inform the wider community on possible scams, and positive or negative experiences. By leveraging smart contract data, we can successfully identify whether the reviewer has interacted with a specified project, further guaranteeing its legitimacy, whilst not giving away specific interaction data.

This project has been pulled together using Next.js, Polygon, Web3 Onboard, Quiknode, and a whole lot of chatGPT 4. Given Max has little to no experience with smart contracts, chatGPT 4 wrote the majority of the smart contract code as well as the Polygon code – the code did not work out of the box, so after a lot of fiddling and no sleep, we have a working proof of concept.

In an ideal world, we would use PolygonID to provide a tool that verifies a user's interaction with a web3 project in black or white without giving away any specific details. Other use cases may include authentication, reviews, user-only rewards and feature flagging.
