0xrelay

Since creators often don't know much about their fans except their wallet addresses, it's difficult for them to reach out, send messages, and share announcements like new NFT drops! 0xrelay allows users to link an Ethereum wallet address with a Discord account, which makes it easy for them to send and receive messages via the Discord messaging platform.

The user first links their wallet address and Discord account in a registration process in a web UI, which authenticates the wallet and signature with Rainbow Kit and the Discord with an OAuth flow. The user then triggers an 0xrelay Discord bot to send their message. The bot calls a backend API to fetch the sender's wallet address and the recipient's Discord ID. It uses XMTP's SDK to message the recipient's address and DM the recipient's Discord account so that they're notified immediately. Since the messaging doesn't occur on-chain, these messages incur no gas fees!
