Zero card allows you to link any wallet to a debit card, giving you an instant offramp for stablecoins.
Zero card allows anyone with a wallet on any network/blockchain to connect their wallet to a debit card. This allows users to easily access their DeFi assets in the real word (Traditional Finance) in a super easy to use manner. After linking a wallet to a card, a user would need to submit KYC information, once approved, the user is then issued a virtual and physical card. To utilize the card users can link any wallet supported by wallet connect. This creates a "Vault" where the user can deposit any stablecoins. Funds in the vault can only be moved by the "Card Issuer" or the Wallet/Owner of the vault. Whenever the user swipes their debit card, and makes a purchase, the Card Issuer will verify that the wallet that is currently linked to Zero Card, has enough funds available to over the purchase. If so, Zero Card will authorize the transaction via the mastercard network. Once authorized, the Card Issuer will move the appropriate amount of Stablecoins from the vault to Card Issuers wallet. Users can also utilize Zero card as a zero interest credit card by depositing MAI or LUSD tokens into the "Card Vault". MAI and LUSD are algo stablecoins that are minted when a user deposits collatoral into the appropriate protocols.
This project uses the following stack: React, Lithic Card Issuance, Wallet Connect, Optimism, Polygon Network, Skale, and ZapperFi. Wallet connect allowed us to prove ownership of a particular wallet for a user + allowed us to query all the currently owned assets for the user on Chain. Specifically we were focused on assets on Optimism, Polygon and Skale. On Optimism and Polygon we utilized the QiDao protocol to power zero interest credit card loans (By allowing users to use MAI token, an algo stablecoin that can be borrowed at 0% interest from QiDao protocol on Polygon and Optimism). React was used to develop the frontend (web app). Lastly, we utilized the Lithic Card Issuance API. The lithic card issuance API allows developers to issue both physical and virtual debit cards to users. We also utilized the Zapper Fi API to allow us to query assets on all EVM chains for any connected wallet. This allowed the user more optionality, as they can select to fund their card with any Stablecoins across various EVM compatible chains.
